ABOUT NORA

Nora Ashleigh Barrie is a 36-year-old psychology major at Salt Lake Community College. She is a survivor of the Troubled Teen Industry (2003-2005). She spent 20 months in three different Troubled Teen Industry programs, two wilderness programs followed by an all-girls therapeutic boarding school, from ages 16 to 18. She left her boarding school 6 months after she turned 18, then spent the next decade struggling with complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder from her experiences before committing herself to start healing from the trauma of the Troubled Teen Industry.
